Galvanic isolator (zinc saver) |
 |
An increasing number of boats are permanently connected to the shore electric network. The improper electric installation on some of them generates stray currents in the marina, leading to a galvanic corrosion path which damages all metal equipments below the waterline.
Zinc anodes are a first step to prevent this, but often prove insufficient when boats stay a long time in the marina.
The efficient solution consists in installing a galvanic isolator (zinc saver) to isolate the boats metallic mass from the shore earth, while complying with the EN ISO 13297 standard.
The zinc saver protects the crew from power overloads and protects the boat from electrolytic currents.

•Designed for a max. 30 Amp-220 V intensity.
•Dimensions: 220 x 120 x 100 mm
•Weight: 1.5 kg |
Without galvanic isolator: current loss on the shore mains (bad insulation, DIY job, water ingress…) generate stray currents between the boats altogether or between the boats and the pontoon. This can result in the damage or total loss of the below waterline metallic parts (engine block, propeller, water intakes…).
With galvanic isolator: whatever the condition of the electric installation you are connecting to, the below waterline parts of your boat are protected and can no longer be the centre of stray currents.
A galvanic isolator does not replace anodes, which must be installed and checked at regular intervals. |

Diode splitters |
 |
Benefits of diode splitters:
• To isolate the various battery banks efficiently, so that critical batteries (engine, electronic instruments) are not affected by the over-draw of some equipment (air conditioning, refrigerator) or by a short-circuit.
• To charge evenly all the board's batteries when connected to the dock, with no need to plug or unplug anything.
Gold plated terminals.
12/24 Volt: protects batteries from overload up to 100 V.

ProSplit diode splitters |
Split charge management system, suitable for 3 separate battery banks
Distributes power according to need
Individually isolates a battery bank immediately upon detection of reverse feed, to prevent discharge
Isolates all except the main battery bank, in the event of high load discharge
In the event of alternator or regulator failure, ProSplit disconnects input to prevent batteries from overcharge
LED display shows status of all load channels
Fail-safe: in case of failure from an equipment/instrument, alternator and engine start battery remain connected
IP 66 waterproof rating
Protected against overload and short-circuit.
