• Accuracy, optimal legibility, flexibility and ease of installation are the key benefits of the S400 series, together with easy intuitive operation with direct function access.
• LCD screens with wide-angle viewing and super size digits for unmatched visibility. Watertight display facia (IP66) ; displays feature an anti-fogging coating for optimal safety even in extreme conditions.
The S400 series is available with a choice of compatible transducers manufactured by Airmar or Plastimo. The instruments can also operate as stand alone with intelligent transducers or an NMEA0183 source. |

Main features common to 8120 & 8084
• Smart window splits for easy screen set-up : up to 4 windows simultaneously, with user's selection of screen size and contents
• SD C-Map NT Max delivers critical details and innovative features : land detail, live Nav-aids, birdseye views of ports, advanced port info, etc…
• Embedded 32 MB worldwide cartography
• 50/200 kHz sonar : adjusts automatically the output power (1 kW or 600 W) to match the wattage of the transducer. No need for a separate sounder processor : you just need to connect the transducer you have selected to your 8120 or 8084 datahelm (see transducers page 70)
• Accepts all entertainment media (DVD, photos, waterproof video camera) via a video input.
• SmartCraft™ capability with Mercury and Mariner engines
• Fuel management (petrol or diesel) option available (see optional fuel kits page 53)
• Digital Radar with the addition of a radome : MARPA, Chart Overlay (see page 46)
• AIS compatible (see pages 46 and 50).

Designing the 8084 had a clear objective :
Bring everything the 8120 could do into a compact unit.
Same functions, same performance, but in a more compact (8.4" / 206 mm) unit, to fit every boat's dashboard, with the SVGA pixel delivery we now find on all laptops.
