EvrSafe ISS-1040 gas detection system

This advanced system features an innovative LCD display connected to detection sensors. A new generation system providing the ultimate in boating safety !

Stemming from the most advanced developments in toxic gas detection, the ISS-1040 is able to detect and measure a variety of toxic gases including :
•carbon monoxide
•butane
•LPG
•nitrogen dioxide (generated by diesel engines)
•hydro carbons
•smoke
Highly efficient, the ISS-1040 detects even the smallest levels of odourless gases.
The Central Processing Unit (CPU) alerts the crew on the type of gas detected, its level readings, as well as weather the level is increasing or decreasing.

Functions :
If a toxic gas is detected, the Central Processing Unit (CPU) alerts the crew via audio and visual displays on the type of gas detected, its level readings, as well as weather the level is increasing or decreasing..
If contamination reaches dangerous levels, the CPU is able to activate external equipment, such as fans, pumps and generators, to bring air quality back to acceptable level.
Data is logged for up to 12 months, so that gas leaks can be monitored and recorded long-term, which is particularly useful when it comes to servicing a boat.

Installation :
The ISS-1040 gas detector comes with 4 sensors, to be installed in various areas of the boat : the helm, engine room, galley…
Each sensor is connected back to the ISS-1040 Central processing Unit (CPU), which incorporates an LCD display showing readouts from the individual sensors.

Carbon monoxide alarm

Completely odourless and colourless, carbon monoxide (CO) is produced by the combustion of fuels, therefore common with appliances such as heater, cooker, engine exhaust... According
to the degree of concentration in the air, symptoms start with a simple headache, reach nausea within 2 or 3 hours, and can result in death after only 1 to 3 minutes in the worst cases.

What makes carbon monoxide such an insidious killer is that you can't see it, and you can't smell it.
Besides, the first symptoms of CO poisoning are very similar to those of seasickness :
• 200 ppm* : headache, tiredness, dizziness, nausea within 2 to 3 hours.
• 800 ppm * : dizziness, nausea and convulsions within
45 minutes ; unconsciousness within 2 hours ; death within 2 to 3 hours.
• 1600 ppm* : headache, dizziness and nausea within 20 minutes ; death within 1 hour.
• 6400 ppm* : headache, dizziness and nausea within 2 to 3 minutes ; death within 10 to 15 minutes.
• 12800 ppm* : death within 1 to 3 minutes.
The detector should be placed in the same room or cabin that has an appliance likely to produce CO. Extremely simple installation : free standing or wall mounted. Ideal for boats, the carbon monoxide detector is also perfectly adapted to residential use (kitchen, boiler or heat exchanger, fire place...).
