Sailmaking Overview
Welcome to our Yacht Sailmakers and Riggers department. We operate a full Sailmaking Department within our company, please see below for the types of items we produce and and contact us for a sailmaking or rigging quotation.
We are manufacturers and repairers of all sizes of sails, sprayhoods, covers and dodgers. The work is undertaken by our own time served craftsmen on our own premises. We have provided a local service that matches the best of standards since 1912. We also do sacrificial strips and repairs to most sails in house.
Sailmaking Services
We provide a local service that matches the best of standards, over an array of products, which not only include sprayhoods, covers and dodgers but industrial and commercial fabric compositions.
We have a machining department that specialise in:
- general repairs to sails - tears/chaff marks/broken leech & bolt ropes etc
- replacement of u.v. strips on genoas
- full valeting service for all sails
Other products in the sailmaking department include:
- dodgers - with name if required
- sprayhoods
- rigging - s/s stays/shrouds
- jack stays
- lee cloths
- hatch & windlass covers
- small canopys & winter covers for fishing/power boats
- fold down canopys for canal boats - seamasters/freemans/normans...etc
- replacement windows/zips & repairs to canopys
- cratch & stern covers for narrow boats
